Brenda Harris, age 54, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Thursday (May 26, 2016) at her home. Born June 18, 1961 in Richlands, Virginia, she was a daughter of Mary Street Harris of Honaker and the late James Thurman “J.T.” Harris. She was a lifelong resident of the area and had formerly been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In addition to her mother, survivors include one son, Timothy Harris and wife, Ashley of Honaker; one brother, James Edward Harris of Honaker; two sisters, Lucille Latham of North Carolina and Michelle Bond and husband, Ernie of Florida; three grandchildren, MaKatlyn Harris, Shayla Harris, and Bentley Harris also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia. Interment will follow in the Frank Smith Cemetery on Big A Mountain, Virginia.
