Miles Rufus Blankenship, age 56 of Sweetwater, Dunlow, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the Tug Valley ARH Hospital in South Williamson, Kentucky.
He was born on May 9, 1960, in Iaeger, West Virginia to the late Nickdemos and Susie Mullins Blankenship. He was a disabled coalminer.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Clayton and Hassell Blankenship; and one sister: Sharon Dotson.

Funeral services for Miles Rufus Blankenship will be on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 1:00 P.M., at the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church at Guesses Fork in Hurley, Virginia, with Roy Lester, Danny Hurley, and David Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Fred Lester Cemetery in Mohawk, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, and Friday evening May 26, and May 27, 2016, at 6:00 P.M. at the Little Dove Regular Baptist Church, where a service will be held at 7:00 P.M. each night.
Serving as Pallbearers will be his nephews.
