James Burton Stever Obituary

James Burton Stever, age 73 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, May 19,

2016 at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington. He was born on January 20, 1943 in Ludington to

the late Orie and Mildred (Johnson) Stever.


Jimmy married Nancy Thompson on December 31, 1994 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ludington. He

was employed as a Wheelsman for the Ludington Carferry, Buds Tap Room and retired from Straits Steel

and Wire.


He had a love for gardening, picking mushrooms, hunting and fishing.


Jimmy is survived by his wife; Nancy, children; Leah Arambula, Eric (Christine) Stever and Jean (Mike)

Burtch, step-children; Randy (Robin) Hansen and Scott Hansen, 10 grandchildren, his aunt; Joyce

Koegler, sisters-in-law; Eleanor Stever, Judy Stever and Barb Stever, as well as numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins.


He is preceded by his brothers; Dwight Stever, Ronnie Stever and Robert (Grub) Stever, sister; Karen and

2 sons; Brian and Marty Stever.


Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
