Clarence Christopher Youngs Jr, age 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at his home in Walkerville. He formerly lived in Hawkins. Clarence was born on October 2, 1948 in Reed City to the late Clarence “Pug” and Helen (Thomas) Youngs.

He attended Reed City High and then joined the Army, serving in Vietnam. He was ranked as an E5 and also earned a purple heart and two bronze stars.

Clarence married Maxine Trussell on December 21, 2013 at Amazing Grace Acres Church in Brohman. He had a passion for hunting, draft horses and logging.

Clarence is survived by his wife; Maxine, son; Chip (Heather) Youngs, daughter; Tina Casey, grandchildren; Keith and Kyle Casey and Logan Youngs, as well as numerous step-children, step-grandchildren and a step great-grandchild; also surviving are his sisters; Mable (Bob) Schied and Mary Youngs, brothers; Clifford (Jackie) Youngs and Robert (Karen) Youngs, also numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his sisters; Elizabeth Stafford, Beulah Woods and Minnie Johnson, also brother; Lloyd Youngs.

Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 3:00PM at Chase Township Cemetery, with Pastor David Watkins officiating, Military Honors will be provided by Reed City VFW. The cemetery is located at 2 1/2 miles SE of Chase at intersection of 64th St. & Hawkins Rd.
