Lois Vaillancourt

VAILLANCOURT, LOIS (née McAlendin) (January 30, 1925 - May 14, 2016) The family sadly announces her peaceful passing at Extendicare Timmins on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at age 91. Lois was the loving wife of Bert, cherished mother of Greg, Anne Marie, Margaret, Brenda (Tom) and John. Loving grandmother of Alexis and Jacob Vaillancourt (children of Greg), Patrick and Jessica Morissette (children of Brenda and Tom), dear sister of Audrey Morgan, her daughters Tracy and Hilary, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Edith and Ellard McAlendin. Lois was devoted to her family and her faith. Her involvement in the community included the Legion of Mary, CWL, Birthright, Cursillo, The Lord's Kitchen and the O'Gorman High School Board. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 17th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral. Interment to follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Anthony of Padua Building Fund or The Covenant House Toronto. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
