It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Calvin Smith at Etobicoke General Hospital on Thursday, May 12, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Toronto, September 17, 1961, he was the son of the late Clifford and Ellen Mary (Murphy) Smith. Cherished brother of Shirley, Ralph (Gail), Darrell (Lisa), and the late Darlene (Clinton Cooper). He will be missed by his nieces Tracey (Andy), Christine (Chad), Nikki and nephews Shawn (Samantha), and Ryan (Michael). Proud great-uncle of Mitchell, Madison and Logan. Predeceased by his nephew David. Calvin had worked as a printer for Transcontinental for 28 years. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, (North of Rexdale Blvd.), Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
