Sheila Whittier Obituary

Sheila Diane Robinson Whittier passed away at home on May 5, 2016 Sheila attended local schools and graduated from Rockland High School. She worked various jobs while growing up and at Maritime Energy for 12 years. She was currently employed at Mobius Inc. for the last year “assisting her fellas”, which brought her great happiness. Sheila married Stephen McKellar and had two children. She later married Daniel Whittier and had a third child. Sheila had a passion for reading, she always had a book in her hand. Her greatest passion, and when she was happiest, was the time spent with her immediate and extended families. She loved cooking for holidays and doing crafts with her “grandbabies” and recently her great-niece and great-nephew. She loved her pets like they were her children, especially her dog Tucker. Her ability to put a smile on anyone’s face will be missed by all who knew her. Sheila was preceded in death by her father Hap and her step-father Robert Hannan. She is survived by: her mother Gloria Hannan of Waldoboro; son Christopher McKellar of Appleton; daughters Misti Edwards and her husband Lee of Augusta and Tasia Elizabeth Whittier of Portland; stepdaughters Kelsey Parker and her husband Joe of Gardiner and Katlyn Whittier of Brunswick; grandchildren Jae-Lynn Dodge, J’Lissa Dodge, Isaiah Dodge and Audrey Dodge, all of Augusta and Ezrah Whittier of Portland; brothers Tim Robinson and his wife Angie of Friendship, Kevin Pratt and his partner Angela Dodge of Rockport and Sonny Robinson of Portland; sister Billie Coughlin and her husband Ryan of San Marcos, CA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro with a reception to follow at Christopher’s home at 2508 Appleton Ridge Rd., Appleton, ME. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sheila’s name to Mobius Inc., 319 Main St., Damariscotta, ME 04543. Hall’s of Waldoboro has care of the arrangements.
