Mrs. Jeanette P. Dye Vance, age 86, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Tuesday (May 3, 2016) at her home. Born December 8, 1929 in Tazewell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Walker McKinley and Sillar Victoria Coleman Dye. A lifelong resident of the southwest Virginia area, she was a member of the Honaker Church of God. She had a prized doll collection and enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Mack Curtis Vance; brothers, James Dye, Kenneth Dye, and Porter Dye; sister, Mattie Bishop; and several infant siblings. In her generation, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Vance of Honaker, Virginia; one son, Steve Vance and wife, Debbie of Honaker, Virginia; one granddaughter, Amy Vance of Honaker, Virginia and one grandson, Chris Vance of Lebanon, Virginia; one expected great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Brooks and Rev. Paul Day officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Steve Vance, Chris Vance, Carter Dye, David Dye, Larry Sanders, Darrell Dye and Nelson Ray.
