Clara Reese Lynn, 96, of Winchester, VA passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her residence in Westminster Canterbury. She was born August 21, 1919, in Ironto, VA; the daughter of the late Eldridge William Reese and Bessie Ann Vaden Reese. Clara married George Wallace Lynn Jr. in Roanoke, VA, April 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on their 60th anniversary, April 20, 2000. She is survived by her children Sharon Ann Lynn of Oakland, CA and Thomas Gibson Lynn and his wife Patricia “PJ” Lynn, of Winchester; two grandsons, Scott Edward Lynn and his wife, Kendel, and Matthew Reese Lynn; and one great granddaughter, Kiana Sage Lynn. She is preceded in death by her six older siblings. The family will receive friends Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Westminster Canterbury, 300 Westminster Canterbury Drive, Winchester, VA 22603 with Rev. Larry Lawhon and Rev. Elizabeth Lewis officiating. Burial will be private at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Winchester.
