Thomas Philip Belke age 81, of Scottville peacefully passed away on Monday, May 2, at home. Thomas was born on August 18, 1934 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Philip and Florence Belke. Thomas served in the US Army for two years. He married his late wife Jeannette (Betka) Belke on December 29, 1988. Tom worked and owned Belke’s Baker’s Inn for over 20 years. Tom enjoyed wine making, fishing, riding his quad and enjoying his property. Tom is survived by his brother: James (Joyce) Belke; children: Mark (Dawn) Belke, Heidi Belke and Lisa (Alan) Horacek; grandchildren: Jennell (Glen) Jackson, Randy Cox, Serra (Pat) Saxton, Courtney (Brad) Baker, Joshua Belke and Serena Kuhn. He had numerous great grand children, nieces and nephews, and lets not forget his loyal cat “Scruffy”, That’s It! He is preceded in death his parents and his wife. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Thomas can be directed to Harbor Hospice.
