Iris Johnston

Iris Darlene Johnston, 70, of Atchison Kansas died Friday, April 29, 2016 at her home. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Michael VanVelzer officiating. The body has been cremated. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Iris was born on April 26, 1946 in Cumberland, WI the daughter Shirley M. (Moore). She worked as a children’s day care provider for most of her life. Iris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include two sons: Allen (Gwendolyn) Johnston, Blue Springs, MO, and Mark Johnston and husband Robert L. Richardson, Kansas City, MO, a daughter, Tammy (Steven) Corning, Atchison, two brothers: David and Lee Moore, both of Manhattan, KS, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Her parents, and one great grandchild, Ethan Seymour preceded her in death.
