Michael Ranilla, age 75, of Milford, beloved husband to the late Annette Pisani Ranilla, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a short illness. Born in New Rochelle, NY on May 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Angela Devito Ranilla. For most of his life, Michael enjoyed a career as a truck driver for BFI Industries. After retirement, he was the owner of Harborview News in Milford. Michael will be remembered for his kind soul and willingness to help. Most of all, he was a loving father and grandfather who leaves many family and friends. Survived by his dedicated children, Michael L. Ranilla and Nicholas Ranilla and his wife Deborah, all of Milford, and cherished grandchildren, Michael J. Ranilla, Jacob M. Ranilla, Matthew N. Ranilla, Carly F. Ranilla, and a host of cousins and extended family. Besides his wife and parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother Frank Ranilla. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, April 30th at the Smith Funeral Home at 9 am. Interment will follow in King’s Highway Cemetery, Milford.
