Dixie Ennis, 85, of Atkins, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Atkins Nursing Center. She was born December 12, 1930, in Pope County, daughter of the late Riley and Lucy Reynolds Ennis. She loved watching her birds and enjoyed senior citizens activities. She was retired from Tyson. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Troy Ennis, Floyd Ennis, and Riley Ennis; and 2 sisters, Floye Harris and Marie New. She is survived by her children, Nancy and husband Mitchell Collins, Terry Hill and wife Charlene, and Fay Keener, all of Atkins, and Anita Keener of Russellville; 4 grandchildren, Jessie Collins, Dawn Collins, Shannon Crow, Andy Crow, Kevin Keener, and Race Roberts; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Kenneth Ennis and wife Jean, and James Glenn Ennis and wife Linda; 5 sisters, Lucille Molloy, Wanda Duvall, Lottie Campbell, Mary Ruth and husband James David Peak, and Janell and husband Leon Yarbrough; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 27, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Geno Johnston, Rev. Darwin Barnhouse, and Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Jessie Collins, Matthew Collins, Andy Crow, Kevin Keener, Jerry Davis, and Garrett Collins. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Yarbrough, James David Peak, and James Hallun. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to the Dixie Ennis funeral expense fund, c/o Lemley Funeral Service, P.O. Box 126, Atkins, AR, 72823.
