Norman Patrick New Holy was born on October 15, 1950 in Grass Creek to Joseph New Holy and Sophie (Frog) New Holy. Norman entered the Spirit World on April 23, 2016 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD. Norman is survived by his sisters, Pearl Bearing, Lucille Bores A Hole, and Evelyn New Holy all of Oglala, SD; cousins, Annabelle Between Lodges, Iris Between Lodges, Karen Between Lodges, and Mildred Bissonette all of Oglala, SD; numerous nieces and nephews; and the Pipe On Head Family, Short Bull Family, Davis Family, and Weasel Bear Family. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie New Holy; brothers, Joe New Holy, Jr. and Theodore James New Holy; and sister, Grace Anne New Holy. Pallbearers will be Dorian New Holy, Denato Two Bulls, Darren New Holy, Wendell Yellow Bull, Jr., Eli Bearing, Christopher New Holy, Delbert New Holy, and Richard Roy.
