Gary W. Greathouse, 63, of Winchester, died peacefully at home on Thursday, April 21, 2016 surrounded by his family under the care of Blue Ridge Hospice. Mr. Greathouse was born June 17, 1952 in Winchester; the son of Charles Stanley Greathouse and Betty Wine Greathouse. He was a self- employed carpenter. He married Deborah Thompson on November 17, 1979 in Winchester. Along with his wife and his mother, he is survived by his children, Charles W. Greathouse and Chad L. Greathouse both of Winchester, Casey A. Greathouse of Stephenson and Carl C. Ogle of Bunker Hill, WV; a brother, Stanley Greathouse of Winchester; and six Grandchildren, Katie Greathouse, Lantz Greathouse, Emma Greathouse, Olivia Ogle, Aften Greathouse and Aiden Greathouse. He was preceded in death by his father and his son, Christopher C. Greathouse. The family will receive friends to celebrate his life at the Greathouse home on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 12 -3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W.
