Ann Butterworth

Ann F. Butterworth, 89, of Clarence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at her home. Born on January 4, 1927, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Homola Urbanik. She married John W. Butterworth who passed away on April 6, 1998. Ann attended the Clarence School. She was raised Catholic but after marriage, she attended the Snow Shoe Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker. Ann was a very private person. She enjoyed staying at home, tending to her garden, and cooking for her family. She was an excellent cook. She treasured her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Ann is survived by her children; Frank W. Butterworth and his wife, Roberta, of Snow Shoe, Stephen J. Butterworth and his wife, Marilyn, of Snow Shoe, John W. Butterworth of Clarence, and Sara A. Haynes and her husband, Robert, of Snow Shoe. Also surviving are her two sisters, Helen Fomich of Clarence, and Mildred Mihalik of Snow Shoe, two brothers; Frank Urbanik of Bellefonte and John Urbanik of Clarence, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Pete Butterworth, two grandchildren; Stephanie J. Butterworth and Preston S. Butterworth, four brothers, and one sister. Following Ann’s wishes, all services will be private. She will be laid to rest at Askey Cemetery in Snow Shoe Township. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W.
