Horace Claude Silvers, age 73, of Erwin passed away Wednesday, April 13. 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a son of the late Ezra and Jettie Silvers. He was a retired construction worker. Mr. Silvers was of the Church of God faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ezra Silvers, Jr. He leaves behind to cherish his memories two sons, Steve Silvers of Erwin and Keith Silvers and wife, Janie of Marshall, NC; one daughter, Amy Foster and husband, Scott of Erwin; two brothers, Wally Silvers of Flag Pond and Cozy Silvers and wife, Debbie of Erwin; four sisters, Shirley Tipton, Lennis Tipton, Kate Burchett and husband, Ray, Ann Davis and husband, Dean, all of Erwin; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Shane Shelton, Stevie Shelton, Thomas Silvers, Brandon Silvers, Scott Foster and Lee Sparks. Committal service will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, April 15, 2016 in the Silvers Cemetery, Flag Pond. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery by 1:50 P.M.
