Ellen Collamore

Ellen Rosalia Collamore , 73, passed away peacefully in Damariscotta on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Ellen was born on February 17, 1943 in Bremen, Maine to parents Edwin Collamore and Ferne Eldridge Collamore. Ellen attended local schools and graduated from Lincoln Academy in the class of 1960. Ellen’s calling was to work in the health care field and she worked at the Fieldcrest Manor in Waldoboro as a C.N.A. for 20 years, then she worked for Kno-Wal- Lin as a health care aide until her retirement in 2005. Ellen favorite pastimes were doing crossword puzzles, going out to eat and most of all she so enjoyed and loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a caring, loving person and will be missed by all who knew her. Ellen was pre-deceased by her parents as well as her brothers Sterling and Merritt. Left to cherish Ellen’s memory are her sister Sandra Lewis and husband Ted of Bristol, Maine, her brother Bradley and his wife Patty Collamore of Bremen, Maine, her sister-in-law, Wanda Collamore, a very special friend “Poppy” of Damariscotta, Maine, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. At Ellen's request , a Private Family celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Ellen had requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 27 Atlantic Highway, Edgecomb, Maine. 04556. Hall’s of Waldoboro has care of the arrangements.
