BRISCOE, Iva Bertha (nee Thom) Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, with family by her side, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late James E. Briscoe. Loving mother of Sandra Smaglinski (Gary), Willis Eady (late Norman), Alex (Betty) and Dean. Proud grandma of Scott, Shawn, Erin, Rhea, William, Andrew and Melanie, and great-grandma of 11 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Annie Briscoe (late Bruce). Predeceased by her siblings Melanie Schultz (late Wilfred), Lillian Briscoe (late Lorne), Ralph Thom (Nona), Leo Thom (late Ilene), Velma Stokes (late Earl) and Wallace Thom (Marjorie). Iva will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visiting at McPhail & Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munroe Ave. E., Renfrew on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Renfrew Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Admaston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Renfrew or Admaston Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
