Mabel P Chambers

Mabel P. Chambers, 86, of Snow Shoe, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on August 13, 1929, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Vanessa Winn Vangor. She was married to George H. Chambers, who passed away on February 12, 1995. Mabel attended the Snow Shoe High School. She was a member of the Queen of Archangels Roman Catholic Parish Church in Clarence. She was a homemaker. Mabel enjoyed cross stitching and word search puzzles. Mabel is survived by her three daughters; Linda L. Chambers of Snow Shoe, Sandra L. Williams and her husband, Joseph, of Brackenridge, PA, and Cheryl A. LeFave and her husband, Jerry, of Stillwater, OK. Also surviving are her four grandchildren; Leslie Smith and her husband, Ron, Cheryl Lackey, Todd Williams and his wife, Kimberly, and Michelle Bechini and her husband, Aaron, seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Muriel O’Brien of Long Island, NY. Along with her parents and husband, Mabel was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Balash. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11am at the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Church, 102 Church St. Clarence with Father Mark R. Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Askey Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe.
