Catherine Rupp

Catherine M. Beaver Rupp, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016, in the Colonial Park Care Center, Harrisburg. Born in Ringtown on March 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Geary and Mattie Jones Beaver. Catherine retired as a floral designer from the former Nye’s Flower Shop, Harrisburg. She was a 1945 graduate of Conyngham Township High School, Aristes. Catherine was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg; she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Estrellita Chapter #512, Harrisburg. She enjoyed growing plants, crocheting, and doing crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence D. Rupp in 2002. Catherine is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Watkins wife of Larry E. of Hummelstown; a son, Ronald L. Rupp and his companion, Kathy Bianconi of Halifax; four grandchildren, Heather A. Probst of Hershey, Holly R. Watkins of Essington, Ryan W. Rupp of Carlisle, and Morgan L. Rupp husband of Karolyn of Wasilla, AK; and one great grandson, Zachary A. Probst. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. James E. Person, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing in the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until time of the service.
