James Goss

James Goss, age 84, passed away on Friday January 29, 2016 in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held on Saturday January 30, 2016 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were held on Sunday January 31, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS. Burial followed in the Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating was Bro. Jason Price and Bro. Scotty Cooper. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS was in charge of the arrangements. James had lived in the Cooperville community for the past 10 years, where he moved from Morton, MS. He was a member of the Golden Grove Church of God in Sebastopol, MS. He was also a member of the American Legion and was an avid hunter until his failing health. James was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Lena Goss; one son, Jimmy Goss; and all of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Goss of Morton, MS; one daughter, Debbie Lamie (Rick) of Riceville, TN; two sons, Randy McCoy (Mary) of Morton, MS and Charlie White (Cleotha) of Forest, MS; two step-children, Katherine Easterling of Brandon, MS and Clayton Femyer of Morton, MS; fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Shane McCoy, Chester McCoy, Taylor Easterling, Caleb Freeman, Clayton Femyer and John T. Cooper.
