Lita Ehalt
Lita Manuela Ehalt, age 75, of Orange passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY to Manuela Diaz LaFuente Gomez of Milford and the late Rafael Gomez. Before retiring, she was employed as a benefits manager for Wellcare. She graduated from Vermont College, where she enjoyed being a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her love for singing and boating. An active member of the community, she was a member Connecticut Hunters and Jumpers Assoc. Mrs. Ehalt is survived by her dedicated children Robert M. Ehalt of Orange, William C. Ehalt III of Fairfield and Christine C. Ehalt of Milford, grandchildren William C. Ehalt IV, Alexander J. Ehalt and Gibson T. Ehalt, brother Alfonso Gomez of Milford and aunt Consuela Farina of Queens, NY. Besides her father, she is predeceased by her loving husband William C. Ehalt Jr. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 26, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford with a prayer service during the visitation.
