David Lewis Weir Jr., 54, of New Castle, formerly of Johnstown, PA departed this life Saturday, January 16, 2016 of post-surgical complications at Edison Manor in New Castle. David is the son of Mary Joan Dudash Weir of New Castle (formerly of Johnstown, PA) and the late David Lewis Weir Sr.

David graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School and Williamsport Area Community College. David was an avid fisherman and gardener.

In addition to his mother, David is survived by and will be missed by his sisters, Karen E. Weir and husband Andre de Bardelaben of Edinburg, PA and Mary S. (Weir) Lipton and husband Andrew of Richland, WA and brother, John Paul Weir and husband Frank Theis of Pottstown, PA. He will be also dearly missed by his niece, Anna K. Lipton, nephew, Nathan D. Lipton, both of Richland WA, and by his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

There are no calling hours planned. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
