David D Chambers Obituary

David D. Chambers, 62, of Moshannon, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2015 in the Philippines, while on vacation with his brother Gary, with whom he resided with since 1996. Born on January 22, 1953, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Merrill A. “Frosty” Chambers Sr. and Leona M Thompson Chambers.

David was of the Methodist faith. His favorite singer was Dean Martin. He was a huge Disney fan. He treasured Mickey Mouse, and had an extensive collection of Disney toys and videos. He enjoyed going to Walt Disney World in Florida. He was able to attend the amusement park seventeen times throughout his life. He loved meeting the characters and riding the attractions rides. He loved his Yogi the Bear statue in his front yard. David looked forward to going the restaurant every day and would enjoy his favorite meal, a turkey dinner.

David, along with his brother, Gary, traveled to the Philippines several times in the past two years. He was going to be the best man in Gary’s wedding, but his untimely death prevented that from happening. But he was there in spirit.

David was a special gift from God. He was a huge blessing to his brother Gary. David loved and trusted everyone he met. He communicated through his eyes and special smile. He lived his life to the fullest. He didn’t require much sleep, on the average, 4-5 hours a day, the rest of his day consisted of playing with his toys and watching videos.

David is survived by his three brothers; Merrill A. Chambers, Jr and his wife, Lois, of Milesburg, Raymond Chambers, Sr. and his wife, Victoria, of Moshannon, and Gary Chambers and his wife, Loida, also of Moshannon. Also surviving are his nephews; Merrill D. of Clarence, Jeffrey, of Julian, Raymond Jr. of Moshannon, and Matthew also of Moshannon, his nieces; Bobbie Jo Hamer and Amanda Richards, both of Port Matilda.

Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Cramer and nephew, Scott Chambers.
