Anthony C. (Cactus) Micco Jr., 83, of Mohawk School Rd, passed away the evening of January 12, 2016 at his residence. Born on April 16, 1932 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Anthony Sr. and Theresa Madalone Micco. On August 30, 1974, he married his beloved wife, the former Alice E. Hilton, and the two spent over 29 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death on October 19, 2003.

Anthony had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Carbon Limestone for 30 years. He also owned and operated AC Asphalt Sealers. He was a member of Christ the King Parish. Anthony enjoyed farming and also enjoyed Elvis Presley and Conway Twitty music.

Anthony is survived by his children, Sherry DePietro of New Castle, Debbie Haybarger of New Castle, Tami Stafford of New Castle, Susan Sowers of Temple, TX, Tara Lambright of Bessemer, PA, Michael Micco of Edinburg, PA, Richard Micco of Edinburg, PA, David Micco of Bessemer, PA, George Searfoss of Temple, TX, and Thomas Searfoss of New Castle; brothers, Robert Micco of Bessemer, PA and Ronald Micco of New Castle; sisters, Mary Donofrio of Hillsville, PA and Bonnie Isabella of Hillsville, PA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauri Micco Patton; brothers, Norman, Dominic, Alex, Arthur Sr., and John D. Micco; and sisters, Madalena Micco and Donna Retort.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 9:45am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Lawrence Church, officiated by Father James Downs.

Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
