Joseph DeFazio

<p>Joseph DeFazio, 82, Spelter passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 23. He was born on February 28, 1933 in Spelter, WV a son of the late Aneillo and Anna ( Mochella) DeFazio. Joe graduated from Victory High school in 1951. In 1957 he graduated from Barber School and shortly after opened his own Barber Shop in Glen Elk. Joe served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. While on the navy ship, he was the crews barber and also the cook. He worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass factory, owned his own business, Malco Car Products, and retired from Larosa Fuel. Joe was a hard worker and was always ready to help others! He enjoyed gardening and always supplied his family and friends with fresh produce. He loved canning the produce from his garden. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his sister, Carmilla DeFazio)Quinones , his sister-in-law Joann Taft DeFazio, one nephew Michael DeFazio and the mother of his children, Barbara Ann Brunett DeFazio. Joe is survived by his three children, Barbara Jo Kroll (husband David), Joseph DeFazio Jr., ( wife Sandra) and Deana DeFazio. Six grandchildren, Joey Kroll, Kimberly Kroll and Stephanie Nuzum (husband Clint), JoSandra, JoAnna and JR DeFazio. One great grandchild Parker David Lampe. He is also survived by his long time companion, Crystal Metz and his "little boy" Scooter, ( his Yorkie). Joe is survived by six brothers and one sister: Frank DeFazio ( wife Virginia), Marty DeFazio ( wife Dorothy), Sylvester DeFazio ( wife Jackie), Augistine , Anthony (wife Angie), John (wife Jean), Mary Elizabeth (DeFazio) Hustead (husband Jim). He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe was very thankful and appreciative for his care takers: Nedra Forinash, Debbie Lipps, Casey Kreiling, Jimmy Joe (Snake) Blake, Wynetta Singleton, Tim Rader. And also the Spelter Fire Department for always being there.</p>
