<p>Myrtice Durrett Davenport, 89, of Eutaw passed away on December 23, 2105, at DCH in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 2:00 at Mesopotamia Cemetery in Eutaw with the Reverend Jim Richwine officiating and Kirk Funeral Home Demopolis Chapel directing. </p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman L. Davenport, Jr., her son, Norman L. Davenport, III, her parents Bessie Roebuck and Aubrey Durrett, and her brother, Cecil Norman Durrett, Sr. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Pearson) Matthews of Birmingham. She is also survived by her caretaker of many years, Toccara Carter, and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Davenport graduated from Greene County High School and Judson College. She taught school at Demopolis Elementary School, Greene County Elementary School, and Warrior Academy before retiring. She loved her Church, playing bridge with her friends, and gardening. </p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be B.L. Abrams, James O. Banks, Jr., Ralph Banks, Chip Beeker, Gary Butler, Fred Colson, Jim Mayberry, Andrew Outlaw, and Fred Yeager. </p><p><br></p><p>Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Durrett, Alvis Storey, Dan Garnand, Jimmy Rice, Mary Jordan, and Tommy Epps. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Greene County Ambulance Services, P.O. Box. 431, Eutaw, Al. 35462, and The First Presbyterian Church of Eutaw, P.O. Box 553, Eutaw, Al. 35462. </p>
