Tammy Jeanette (Garvin) Donell, 45 of Weirwood, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her home following a sudden illness.
Born on October 20, 1970 in Springfield, OH and is the daughter of the late Charles Garvin and Marie Tonkin (Garvin) Simms
Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her door was always open to anyone as she allowed many people to live with them when needed. For many years she was a school cook in the Virginia school system and she loved her job. She had a special place for animals and had several pets. She was a graduate from Mount Hope High School class of 1990 and married her husband, Steven Donell, that same year. Above all, she adored her friends, family, and the Lord.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 25 years, Steven Donell, at home; her children, Kayla L. Donell, Joshua S. Donell, and Zachary C. Donell, all at home; siblings, Crystal Wriston and husband James of Weirwood, Danette Taylor and husband Scott of Beckley, Charles Garvin II of Weirwood, Brian Garvin and wife Crissy of Weirwood, and Trena Garvin of Fayetteville; step-father, Ricky Simms of Weirwood; grandmother, Helen Hought and husband James of Danese brother-in-law, David Donell of Beckley; sisters-in-law, Tina Bowden of Hawaii, and Lori Donell of Mount Hope; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Tammy will be conducted at 11am Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Interment will follow at Pax Cemetery in Pax.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Donell, Zachary Donell, Keith Wriston, John Wriston, Brian Donell, Robert Donell, CJ Garvin, and Kyle Garvin.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6-9pm at the High Lawn Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy may be made directly to the family at the visitation.
