Edith Elizabeth McAdams, age 91 , passed away Saturday November 28, 2015 at the Barton County Memorial Hospital. Edith was born February 23, 1924 to Jasper Henry and Myrtle Beatrice (Shadwick) Fread, in Van, Arkansas. She attended grade school in a one room country school house and later graduated from St. Charles High School in St. Charles, AR. On November 22, 1947, She married James Terrall McAdams in DeWitt, AR. Jim was in the U. S. Air Force and they continued in the service until 1968. They later settled in Grandview, Mo where they lived until Jim retired and they moved to Liberal MO 23 years ago. Jim passed away August 22, 2004 after 52 years of marriage to Edith. Also preceding her in death were two sons, James "Keith" McAdams and Gene Peacock. Survivors include a son Bobby McAdams of Liberal and a Daughter Linda Smith of Pleaseant Hill, MO, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
