Medway – Gordon E. Van Dine, 51, joined his parents in heaven on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his home. He was born February 15, 1964 in Millinocket, the son of Alfred H. and Florence E (Gordon) Van Dine, Sr.

Gordon grew up in Medway, and was a graduate of Schenck High School, class of 1983 and earned an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology from EMVTI. He was a 30 year employee of the Maine Department of Transportation, and was, at the time of his passing, District Supervisor for Region 5, covering the Springfield and Burlington garages. In his spare time, Gordon enjoyed 4-wheeling, fishing, “jeeping”, and spending time in the outdoors. He will be remembered as a devoted son and excellent caregiver to his parents, faithful brother, loving uncle to his nephews Erik and Gerret, and a loyal friend to many. He will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Gordon is survived by four brothers, Alfred Van Dine, Jr., “Chip” and his wife Ellen of Millinocket, Bret Van Dine and his wife Dawn of East Millinocket, Jon Van Dine and Barry Martin of Hampden, and Todd Van Dine and his wife Rachel of Kenduskeag; two nephews, Erik and Gerret Van Dine; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, too numerous to list.

Friends are invited to visit with the family 10 A.M. – 12 P.M. Tuesday, December 1 at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 2 Orchard Street, East Millinocket, with funeral services beginning at 12. Interment will be at the Grindstone Cemetery, Medway. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, East Millinocket.
