<p>Robert L. Porterfield, 65, of Union Township, passed away the morning of November 26, 2015 at his residence. Born on December 1, 1949 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Charles and June Williams Porterfield. </p><p><br></p><p>Robert had worked as a foundry worker for Rockwell International, and he later retired from Parker Hannifin in Youngstown, OH. He also served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Robert enjoyed hunting and going to classic and antique car shows. </p><p><br></p><p>Robert is survived by his former wife of 34 years, JoAnn McVay of New Castle; daughter, Bobbie-Jo Porterfield of New Castle; brothers, Ron Porterfield and Gary Porterfield, both of New Castle; sister, Hazel Ludwiczak of New Castle; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Porterfield. </p><p><br></p><p>Honoring his wishes, there are no calling hours or services. </p><p><br></p><p>Private entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum. </p>

Obituary

Robert L. Porterfield, 65, of Union Township, passed away the morning of November 26, 2015 at his residence. Born on December 1, 1949 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Charles and June Williams Porterfield.
