Daniel Eugene Sullivan, age 82, passed away in his home in Milford on November 25, 2015. A lifelong Milford resident, Daniel served his country as a Marine in the Korean War, and then went on to serve the City of Milford for 25 years as a Police Officer, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Patrolmen’s Association (PBA) and was an avid reader with a passion for history. He is survived by his beloved Penelope Smith, devoted children Kathleen Kuchta and her husband Mark of Georgia, Daniel Sullivan and his wife Cathi of North Carolina and Kelley Sullivan of Milford, grandchildren Deven Thornhill, Mark Kuchta, Jr., Frank Mingrone, and Chelsea Mingrone, nephews Thomas Flaherty and “Terry” Vincent Tullock and numerous great nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, December 3rd at 10:30am, at the funeral home, with interment following in St. Mary Cemetery.
