Mr. Walter Talmadge Hardy, Jr.<br>December 18, 1931 – November 23, 2015<br><br>Mr. Walter Talmadge Hardy, Jr, age 83, of Jackson, Ga, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Brightmoor Hospice.<br><br>Mr. Hardy was born on December 18, 1931 in Williamson, GA to the late Walter Talmadge Hardy, Sr. and the late Lois Rawls Hardy. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Emma Lou Turner and Helen Kendrick. Mr. Hardy was a General Foreman over Industry for the Federal Prison System for many years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. Mr. Hardy was a member of the Family Worship Center in Griffin.<br><br>Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Peggy Taylor Hardy of Jackson; son, Walter Donald Hardy of Jackson; grandson, Michael Brett Hardy of Jackson; sister, Montez Greer of Texas; several nieces and nephews.<br><br>A memorial service for Mr. Walter Hardy, Jr will be conducted on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Billy Anderson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family following the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Atlanta Office at American Cancer Society, 250 Williams Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30303, in memory of Mr. Hardy.<br>

Mr. Walter Talmadge Hardy, Jr, age 83, of Jackson, Ga, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at Brightmoor Hospice.
