Rachel Annette Whited Terry, age 64, of Elk Garden, Virginia, passed away Friday (November 20, 2015) in an Abingdon, Virginia hospital. Born June 30, 1951 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late High and Georgia Carolyn Hess Whited. She was a lifelong resident of Russell County area. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dewey “G.C.“ Whited and Jimmy Whited, and one sister, Shirley Whited.
Survivors include one brother, Thomas Whited; four sisters, Mary Musick, Della Crews, Carolyn Ferguson, and Eula Wingo; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday at the Whited Cemetery in Rosedale, Virginia with Rev. Phillip Horton officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
