Margaret M. Beachell Weikel, “Peggy or Peg”, 68, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at her home.
Born March 15, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Austin L. and Ethel V. (Hawthorne) Beachell.
Peggy graduated from Central Dauphin East High School then worked for PPL Electric Utilities for 42 years 6 months before retiring. She was a devoted caretaker for the throw away animals providing health care, spay and neuter, food and shelter.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Donald Weikel; three sisters, Linda K. Shartzer (Lawrence) of Harrisburg, and Jean and Louise; four brothers, Ralph L. Beachell (Jean Eby – deceased) of Bunnell, FL, Lawrence L. Beachell (Martha Kiehl) of Ormond Beach, FL, and James and Edward.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to spay and neuter programs, animal care, elder care programs, childhood cancer; or to Fairview Evangelical Church, 20091 Fairview Church Road, Three Springs, PA 17264; or to New Hope Church, 584 Colonial Club Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
