Marjorie Irene (Morton) Williams (May 2, 1934 - November 15, 2015). Devoted mother, educator and friend. Marjorie "Margie" Williams went to live with our Lord in heaven on November 15, 2015. Margie was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Central High School in Columbus and Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio where she was a member of the marching band and a number of other organizations. Marjorie is loved and survived by her children, Metre Lewis, Donna James, Keith Williams and Joyce Williams (daughter-in-law); her grandchildren, Ulysses Lewis, Paul James, Bailey Williams, Taylor Williams, Sloane Williams, and Shelby Williams; her former spouse, Lewis Williams; her devoted friends, Markita West, Dorothy Wilson and Madeline (Morton); as well as many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Morton and Eugene Morton; her sister Cynthia (Morton) Fambro; and her son Kevin Williams. Marjorie was a member of Mt Vernon A.M.E. Church where she was actively involved in a number of groups and organizations. Marjorie was an elementary school teacher who taught hundreds of children over the 40+ years she spent as an educator traveling with her husband and family throughout the United States as an Air Force wife.
