Carol Wicklund, a life-time resident of Ludington died peacefully in the comfort of her home on the 14th of November with family members by her side.<br><br>Carol was born on August 27, 1935 in Ludington to the late William and Catherine Wallace. She was married to the love of her life in 1957 to John (Jack) Wicklund who preceded her in death in 1988.<br><br>She successfully raised 5 children and retired after 20 years from the Mason County Courthouse as Deputy Clerk.<br><br>Carol is a member of St. Simons Catholic Church, past member of the Catholic Daughters and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.<br><br>She loved her home, reading, music, painting and drawing. Summers were enjoyed the most taking care of her flowers and gathering with family and friends on the beautiful Lake Michigan beach. A trip to Montana last year is cherished as she spent quality time with several of her children and grandchildren.<br><br>Surviving are her children, John (Amy) Wicklund, Annette Dougherty, Patty Coleman, Joe (Wendy) Wicklund, Jackie (Mike) Makowicki, brother, Jim (Sue) Wallace, brother-in-law Tom (Donna) Wicklund, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.<br><br>Carol is preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, brother, William (Binky) Wallace, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.<br><br>A funeral will be held at the Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Len Luscomb officiating. Visistation will be held at 10:00 AM until the time of service.<br><br>Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Simon's Food Pantry, 702 E. Bryant, Ludington or Hospice of Michigan, 5177 W. US 10, Ste B, Ludington.<br><br>The family has entrusted funeral arrangements with Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington. Carol Wicklund, a life-time resident of Ludington died peacefully in the comfort of her home on the 14th of November with family members by her side.

Carol was born on August 27, 1935 in Ludington to the late William and Catherine Wallace. She was married to the love of her life in 1957 to John (Jack) Wicklund who preceded her in death in 1988.
