Arthur Nelson McLaughlin
Arthur N. McLaughlin, age 88, 110 Tipton Street, Erwin passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his residence. He was a native of Jack's Creek, NC and had lived most of his life in Unicoi County. Mr. McLaughlin was a son of the late Isaac and Clara Williams McLaughlin. He was a Korean Army Veteran and a retired restaurant owner. Mr. McLaughlin was a member of the Bible Holiness Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Joe, William and Lewis McLaughlin; two sisters: Stella Tittle and Edna Arrowood.<br><br>Mr. McLaughlin leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Winona McLaughlin; two step-daughters: Donna Bailey and husband, Daniel and Chaskia Harris and husband, Jamie, all of Erwin; one sister, Ruth Rayburn and husband, Earl of Asheville, NC; one brother-in-law, Rick Runion and wife, Beverly, Erwin; two sister-in-laws: Wanda Turley and husband, Doug of Branchland, WV and Wincie Whitson, Erwin; six step-grandchildren: Heidi Davis, Holly Parnell and husband, Daryl, all of Erwin, Jamie Davis and wife, Natalie, Barefoot, FL, Dillon Pitsenbarger of Erwin, Dezray Metcalf and husband, Dale of SC, Isaiah Bennett of Erwin; five step-great grandchildren: Alexis Nickles, Abbi Parnell, Alton Parnell, Alexander Howell and Riley Winters. Several nieces and nephews also survive.<br><br>The family will receive friends Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 3:00 P. M. to 5:00 P. M. at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 P. M. Monday, November 16, 2015 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Reverend Kim Casey will officiate.
