Alan Joseph Robinson, 62, passed away at his home on November 9th, 2015. Born on November 4th, 1953 in Trenton, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Albert and Juliette Robinson. He traveled the United States before settling down in Swords Creek, Virginia. Alan was a medic in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He also graduated Phi Theta Kappa and Salutatorian of the nursing program and Southwest Virginia Community College.


In addition to his parents, Alan was preceded in death by his step-mother Rachel Robinson; brother, Wayne Robinson and brother-in-law, Walter Doane.

Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Sgroi, Juilette Marchant, and Elizabeth Washington; his sister, Rita Doane; nephews, Scott and David Doane and their children;sister-in-law, Priscilla Robinson; nieces, Jodi Hall and Amy Robinson-Fernandez and their children.

The family is going to hold a private service per Alan's request. Any contributions welcome to be donated to the Veterans of the United States.
