Betty Jane Fikes Obituary
MINEOLA – Graveside services for Betty Jane Fikes, 91, of Mineola, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015, at Enon Cemetery, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Guy Jolin officiating.
Mrs. Fikes passed away Friday, November 6, 2015, in a Mineola nursing home.
She was born Sunday, June 15, 1924, in Dallas, to the late Lawrence Clifton and Lucy Edith Sevier Martin. She had lived in Mineola since 1995 moving there from Athens. She loved dancing and worked as a self-employed cake decorator in her home, and was a Baptist.
Survivors include her son, Bill Beverly and wife Janet of Justin; 3 daughters, Marlene Morris and Linda Simonek both of Mineola, and Lucy Black of Athens; and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Evelyn Jannasch.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home at noon on Monday.
