Mr. Willie Spencer Wright
April 18, 1930 – October 27, 2015

Mr. Willie Spencer Wright, age 85, of Griffin, GA entered into the joy of eternal life on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in Griffin.

Willie Spencer Wright was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 18, 1930, to the late Spencer Wright and Daisy Thomas Wright. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Wright and his sister Anne Lou Piercy. He joined Oak Hill Baptist Church at an early age.

Willie was a diligent worker for Thomaston Mills for 38 years, where he retired. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Frances Evans Wright. Together, they have eight children; five daughters, Ms. Mary Alford, Ms. Dorothy Wright, Ms. Patricia Parks, Mrs. Nancy (Willie) Matthews, and Mrs. Barbara (Kennedy) King, all of Griffin, GA; and three sons, Mr. Willie Frank (Alice) Wright and Mr. Roger Wright of Griffin, GA and Mr. David (Diane) Wright of Milner, GA. He is also survived by his sister Mrs. Laura Sue Gardner; two sisters in law, Ms. Lizzie Lee Evans of Jackson, GA, and Mrs. Mary Jane Evans of Barnesville, GA.; brother in law, Mr. Walter Etheridge; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Willie Wright will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wright will be available for viewing on Friday, October 30, 2015, until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
