Gerard F. Crockett

Millinocket - Gerard F. Crockett, beloved son of Carl and Albertine Crockett, died on October 20, 2015. “Jerry” was born in Caribou on March 23, 1951. He resided of late in Millinocket, Maine. Mr. Crockett was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the US Army. He travelled over the U.S. and worked in many different occupations always in service work to others. He was happy to be in northern Maine in his later years. He is beloved and will be sorely missed by his brother, David Crockett and his wife, Harriet Dionne Crockett of Brunswick, Maine and by his sister, Linda Crockett Baltzer of Millinocket. He is also mourned by his cousin Quentin Warren and his wife Shirley Warren of Caswell, Maine. “Jerry” loved his dogs and all animals. He enjoyed the outdoors and always loved camping. He will be missed by his friends and all who knew him in western Maine, Aroostook County and Millinocket. “Our brother spent the most difficult times of his illness at Colonial Acres amid the angels there and those Beacon Hospice workers who took care of his needs. He was loved in the hundreds of acts of kindness of these wonderful men and women. It is a testament to their kindness and his innate goodness that each visit to his bedside by each of these caregivers always brought him a gentle touch and a smile. God is good.” A funeral Mass for Gerard will be said at St. Martin of Tours Church in Millinocket by Father Bruce Siket. Gerard’s ashes will be interred as he wished at the gravesite of his parents, Carl and Albertine Crockett in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Caribou.
