Louis Edward Cuming, age 82, of Milford, beloved husband of the late Norma Cirelli Cuming passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Masonicare in Wallingford. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on January 29, 1933 to the late Joseph and Celesta Richards Cuming. Louis attended UConn and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War period. He was an electrical engineer for many years and lastly worked side by side with his bride Norma as a broker for Hometown Realty Association, LLC. In addition to his parents, and his loving wife, he is predeceased by his sister; Celeste Cuming Tator and her husband Benjamin, brothers; Joseph Cuming and George Labaoult, mother and father-in-law; Phillip and Yolanda Cirelli. Louis is survived by his devoted children; Louis Cuming II and Lisa Cuming Basque and her husband Michael, two grandchildren; Kiel Cuming and LeAnna Basque. Louis also leaves behind his beloved sister; Marylou Laboult, sister-in-law; Theresa Lioci Cuming, brother-in-law; Robert (Donna) Cirelli, sisters-in-law; Joan (Frank) Guggliotti and Phyliss (Edward) Polhemus, fifteen nieces and nephews, and his life-long friends William and Barbara Hickey and good friend Frank Zielinkski. Services will be held at on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad Street, Milford, CT with calling hours from 11am - 1pm. Interment will follow to St. Mary Cemetery, Buckingham Ave, Milford, CT with full Military Honors.
