James "Jamie" Aubrey Laws

James “Jamie” Aubrey Laws, 43, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at his home in Bossier City, LA. He was born on November 5, 1971 in Greenville, MS to Margaret Ann Slaymaker Laws and Charles Edward Laws. He grew up in Greenville, MS and attended Delta State University in Cleveland, MS, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Mr. Laws was employed with the Bossier City-Shreveport casinos for 17 years where he worked as a casino host for Horseshoe Casino and as a surveillance officer for Boomtown Casino. He enjoyed fishing and was and an avid football fan of the New Orleans Saints. Mr. Laws is survived by one daughter Sidney Reann Laws, of Houston, TX; his mother, Margaret Ann Laws, of Senatobia, MS; two brothers, Casey Laws (Lisa) of Fort Smith, AR and Thomas Laws (Celeste) of Pascagoula, MS. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Edward Laws. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
