Bessie Slone

Bessie Rogers Slone 88 of Paint Lick passed away at her home on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Bessie was born in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Frank and Ethel Rogers. She was a homemaker and seamstress. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Raleigh Forbes and Harold Slone, four siblings Jiles Rogers, Tom H. Rogers, Ivan Rogers and Beulah Rogers and one son-in-law Don Young. She is survived by her daughters Carol Young, Gail (Darrell) Meece, four step daughters Rose (Arthur) Ferguson, Ruby Slone, Robin (Mike) Highfield and Ruth Ann (Bill) Damron, one step son Harold (Sue) Slone Jr., two siblings Delbert Roger and Anna C. Isham, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Lakes Funeral Home with the burial following in the Cartersville Cemetery.
