Brenda J. Payne was granted her angel wings on October 3,2015. Beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, loving auntie and friend, died peacefully in the presence of her family. Brenda was born October 24,1939 to Rev. James and Martha Youngblood. She attended Washington High School in London, W.V. where she participated in the Drama Club, Cheerleading and Gymnastic Team. Brenda graduated from East Bank High in East Bank W.V. Brenda made profession of her faith by accepting Jesus Christ as her personal savior at the age of 12. On May 1,1962 Brenda was untied in marriage to her childhood sweetheart who she has known over 65 years Clarence "Red" Payne. This union granted a son Darren E. Payne. In 2002, Brenda retired after working over 23 years as a Printing Machine Operator for the Bureau of Workers Compensation. Brenda enjoyed gardening, cooking, creating birthday cards, photography, and was inducted in the Youngblood Hall of fame as the "Greatest Secretary" on this side of heaven. Brenda was also known for being the Ultimate Pittsburg Steelers fan. If you listed closely; you can still hear "Shouting " Yes"Go Go". Brenda impacted the lives of many. Her love, patience and gentle spirit will radiate throughout generations to come. Brenda will be especially missed for her Loving-Kindness and Beautiful Smile. Preceded in death by parents; Rev. James and Martha Youngblood, Grandparents; James and Ludie Youngblood; Anthony and Lucy Price Warden, Brother Don A. Youngblood, Sister; Gloria Parker. She leaves to cherish her memory, Husband; Clarence Kenneth "Red" Payne; Son; Darren Eric "Blue" Payne; Sister Carol June Davenport, Columbus,Oh, Sister-in-Law Joy and (James) Ramsey, Special friends; Sue Eubanks, Sharell Marshall, and Beanna Tolber and a host of nieces, nephews, great nephews, and other relatives and friends.
