Ahmed Colic Woodstock, Ontario Obituary

Ahmed Colic

Colic, Ahmed- We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Ahmed Colic. Also known as “Go Go”, in the comfort of his own home on October 4, 2015. Born August 30th, 1930 in Bosnia. Ahmed was a professional bicycle racer and enthusiast in his younger years, which led him to be in the hall of fame in Sarajevo. After his bicycle career came to a finish he then married loving wife Anneliese Colic and made a big move to Canada, where he started a manufacturing business, which 50 years later he retired from. Ahmed was a son, brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather and the best friend anyone could possibly ask for. Ahmed is survived by; wife of 55 years, Anneliese Colic, daughter Sabina Colic, grandson Shane Colic and granddaughter Deena Colic. He also leaves behind his sister Samka Vuk, his two nieces Denise and Kim Colic and numerous good friends and business associates. The family would like to thank St. Elizabeth’s, CCAC and everyone who took care and provided comfort to Ahmed within these difficult times. We mourn this day, but knowing heaven has gained another angel and knowing Ahmed will finally be at peace, keeps our hearts at ease. Until we see you again Ahmed may you rest in peace. There will be no visitations but you are welcome to visit Ahmed’s place of rest at the Anglican Cemetery on Vansittart Ave in Woodstock.
