Phillips: Peter S. Passed away peacefully and with quiet dignity, as he lived on Sunday, October 4th, 2015. His loving wife, Joan, son, Mark and daughter Lisa, have been at his side for the past months hospitalization- as were Mark’s wife Selma and Lisas husband Gary. His grandchildren Jordyn, Aryn, Jacob, Kaitlin and Emily will always love their “Papa." Pete was hardworking, adventurous and devoted to his family. We thought he was a talented amateur artist although he didn’t agree. Pete was diligent, caring, spoke quietly, never showed anger but had a strength to accomplish much. He had a life well lived and for all his soft-spoken and non-judgemental approach to life we will miss him greatly. He had a very strong presence in our lives. We are happy that he is at peace after a very difficult illness and would like to thank the staff, especially the nurses at Trillium ICU for their wonderful care of Pete and support of the family. Pete is resting at the funeral home of Skinner & Middlebrook Ltd. 128 Lakeshore Rd. E. Mississauga (1 block west of Hurontario St.) on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church 11 Peter St. S. Mississauga on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at 11 a.m. Cremation. In Lieu of flowers, if you wish donations to charity of your choice. Reception to follow.
