Millinocket – Francis Cameron “Skip” St. Peter, 80, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at a Portland hospital. He was born June 20, 1935 in Millinocket, the son of Garfield and Catherine (Qualey) St. Peter. Cameron grew up in Millinocket, and was educated in Millinocket schools. He served a tour of duty in the U.S. Army immediately after high school. Cameron worked at the paper mill in Old Town through several owners, and retired in the late 1990’s. After retiring, he returned to the Katahdin region to live. He loved fishing and spending time at the Lake. He belonged to the Fin & Feather Club in Millinocket and Donald Henry Post #80 of the American Legion. Cameron also greatly enjoyed his time spent as a member of the singing group “The HasBeens” in Millinocket. He is survived by three children, Jenny Shaw of St. Augustine, Florida, Andrew St. Peter of Greenbush, and Pam Sewitsky and her significant other Kirk Small of Greenfield Township; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cameron was predeceased by a son in law, Jerry Shaw, and his sister, Veronica St. Peter. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 P.M. Sunday, October 4 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Monday, October 5 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Committal services, with military honors, will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, October 7 at the Millinocket Cemetery.
